The Armenian U16 national team lost to Malta in the first match of the Development Cup

On February 24, the UEFA Development Cup for U16 teams kicked off in Malta, featuring the national teams of Armenia, Malta, the Faroe Islands, and Gibraltar.

In their first match, Armenia U16 faced the tournament hosts and suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat. The only goal was scored in the 77th minute by Maltese player Andre Zammit.

In the other match of the tournament, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands played to a 1-1 draw. Armenia’s next match will be against the Faroe Islands.
