Armenia U16 volleyball team put up a respectable fight against Romania in their second match at Euro 2025

In the second group stage match of the home European Championship for boys under 16, the Armenian national volleyball team lost to Romania 0–3 (23:25, 21:25, 16:25). Despite the defeat, the Armenian players showed a confident performance against a more experienced opponent.
It’s worth noting that Romania’s senior national team ranks 25th in the world and will host the upcoming European Championship for senior teams. Considering the level of the opponent, the performance of the Armenian youth team is worthy of respect, as this is the first tournament of its kind in the nation’s history.

In the opening match, Armenia lost to Greece, and their next game will take place on July 25 against Latvia, who recently beat Slovenia.
The U16 European Championship is being held in Yerevan from July 23 to 30.
