The Armenia national football team has arrived in Porto, where on November 16, at the Estádio do Dragão, the match of the 6th round of Group F of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers between Portugal and Armenia will take place. This match will be the final Group F game for Yeghishe Melikyan’s team in the European qualification stage.
On the eve of the match, November 15, at 17:30 local time, a pre-match press conference will be held with the head coach and one of the national team players. At 18:00, Armenia will hold a training session.
Artur Serobyan has also returned to Portugal — it is his second attempt to make an impact in Portuguese football. The 22-year-old winger previously played in the local league for Casa Pia: in the 2023/24 season, he made 4 appearances and scored one goal.
The Portugal vs Armenia match will take place on November 16 in Porto and will mark the decisive end of Armenia's 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Armenia no longer has a chance to advance from the group, but Portugal urgently needs a victory in this match to secure first place and qualify directly for the World Cup.
