The Armenian national ice hockey team is completing its preparations for the Division IV World Championship, which will be held in Yerevan from April 13 to 19. The final training camp of the national team will take place from April 1 to 12 at the Ice Arena of the Figure Skating and Ice Hockey School. This venue will also host the tournament matches.
This World Championship will be special for the Armenian team, as it returns to the international stage after 14 years—the last time Armenia participated in the World Championship was in 2010.
Armenia’s opponents in the tournament will be the national teams of Iran, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan. Under the leadership of Vadim Guskov, the team has ambitious goals and aims to perform successfully in the home tournament.
The Division IV World Championship will follow a group-stage format, with the best team earning the right to be promoted to a higher division. The tournament promises to be a spectacular event and a significant milestone in the development of ice hockey in Armenia.
