The Armenia national futsal team successfully completed its preparation stage for the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026 by securing a convincing victory over Lebanon. The friendly match took place on January 15 in Yerevan and ended with an 8–3 win for the Armenian side.
The standout performer of the match was Tyumen forward Denis Nevedrov, who scored a hat-trick. Armenia captain and Norilsk Nickel versatile player Vladimir Sanosyan added a brace. Mikael Gandilyan, Arsen Petrosov and Hamlet Manukyan each scored one goal.
The first half proved challenging for the hosts. Lebanon displayed high-quality futsal and took the lead midway through the half, going up 3–2. Nevedrov and Gandilyan scored for Armenia before the break. Despite Lebanon’s tight defense, Armenia earned a penalty before halftime and managed to equalize.
In the second half, the Armenian team completely took control of the game. Early in the period, Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo forward Arsen Petrosov put Armenia ahead with a precise header. Soon after, Hamlet Manukyan and Denis Nevedrov extended the lead, and in the closing minutes Vladimir Sanosyan scored twice in quick succession to seal the emphatic 8–3 victory.

Armenia now heads to Kaunas on a high note. In the coming days, head coach Ruben Nazaretyan will announce the final squad of 14 players traveling to the European Championship. The team is scheduled to depart for Kaunas on January 18, and will play its opening match of the tournament on January 22 against Ukraine. Armenia’s group also includes Czechia and Lithuania.
Meanwhile, the Lebanon national team will continue its training camp in Yerevan and on January 18 will play another friendly match against Armenia’s U21 youth team.
