Armenia drop to 107th place in updated FIFA ranking

FIFA has published the updated ranking of national teams. The Armenia national team is now ranked 107th after two consecutive draws in June friendly matches.
In June, Yeghishe Melikyan’s team drew 1-1 with both Kazakhstan and Moldova. Compared to the April ranking, Armenia dropped one position and now has 1189.63 points.
Argentina remain top of the FIFA ranking. Reigning European champions Spain are in second place, while France complete the top three. England, Portugal, Brazil, Morocco, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are also in the top 10.

The positions of Armenia’s future UEFA Nations League opponents are also of particular interest to Armenian fans. Montenegro remain the highest-ranked team in the group, sitting 80th. Armenia are 107th, Cyprus are 124th, while Latvia are 137th.

As a reminder, Armenia will play in Group C2 of the new UEFA Nations League campaign against Montenegro, Cyprus and Latvia. The first match will take place on September 25 in Yerevan against Latvia.
