Armenia National Team — One of the Most Disciplined Sides in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

The Armenia national team continues to display exemplary discipline in the 2026 World Cup qualification campaign. After three matches, the team has received only three yellow cards — the second-best record among all European teams. Only Spain has fewer, with just two cautions. Switzerland and England have also collected three yellow cards each.
It’s important to note that no Armenian player has yet missed a game due to suspension, which occurs after two yellow cards.
However, ahead of today’s match against Ireland, the coaching staff and fans are closely monitoring Gevorg Harutyunyan, Erik Piloyan, and Kamo Hovhannisyan — each of whom already has one yellow card. Another booking would mean missing the home game against Hungary on November 13, which would be a significant loss for the team.
