The Armenia national team began its training camp on June 1 ahead of the upcoming June friendly matches against Kazakhstan and Moldova.
The national team, led by Yeghishe Melikyan, will hold its first training session today at 18:00. All invited players have already joined the squad, with the exception of midfielder Narek Grigoryan.
Grigoryan is currently absent from the team camp because he played for his club the day before in the Romanian league relegation play-off. His club, Farul, managed to remain in the top division after defeating Chindia Targoviste in a penalty shootout.
Armenia will face Kazakhstan in a friendly match on June 6. The game will take place at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
Three days later, on June 9, the Armenian national team will also meet Moldova in Yerevan.
These matches will be Armenia’s first games under Yeghishe Melikyan and an important stage of preparation ahead of the team’s next official fixtures.
