Armenia national team begins preparations for Nations League matches

On September 20, the Armenia national team began its training camp ahead of the opening matches of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League group stage.
The team, led by Yeghishe Melikyan, has gathered to prepare for home matches against Latvia and Montenegro. Armenia's first training session is scheduled for September 20 and will begin at 17:30.
However, the squad is not yet training at full strength. A number of players who represent foreign clubs or have played matches for their teams in recent days will join the national team on September 21.

As a result, from the following day the coaching staff will be able to begin direct preparations for the opening match of the competition with an almost complete squad.
Armenia national team's match schedule
Armenia will play its first match in Nations League Group C2 on September 25, when it hosts Latvia in Yerevan.
Three days later, on September 28, Yeghishe Melikyan's side will once again play at home, this time against Montenegro.
After the two matches in Yerevan, Armenia will head on the road. On October 2, Armenia will face Cyprus in Nicosia, before meeting Montenegro in Podgorica on October 5.
Armenia's opponents in Group C2 are Latvia, Montenegro and Cyprus.
