Al-Ahli supporters have criticized Portuguese winger Trincão and pointed to Eduard Spertsyan as an example for him to follow.
One of the club’s popular fan accounts on X, followed by more than 31,000 users, highlighted the Armenian midfielder’s work rate and commitment on the pitch.
“Look at Spertsyan. He runs, fights, presses, covers the pitch, and you can feel that this guy came here to play and compete.
That is what I want from a player who wears the Al-Ahli badge.
Trincão needs someone to stand in front of him and tell him directly: did you come here to compete and fight, or did you come to collect your money and leave?”
The Portuguese winger has been criticized for overly straightforward play, a lack of threatening actions in attack and insufficient defensive work off the ball.
Spertsyan, meanwhile, has made an impressive start at Al-Ahli. After his first five appearances for the club, the midfielder has been involved in six goals, scoring three and providing three assists.
