Samvel Gasparyan appointed secretary general of the Armenian weightlifting federation

Former Armenian national weightlifter Samvel Gasparyan has taken on the role after retiring from his career. The 27-year-old athlete has been appointed Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.

"Dear friends, today I have been appointed Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.

With great love and responsibility, I am beginning my work with my home team (the Federation). Just as during my athletic career, now as well, I will serve for the sake of our country and future victories.

I would like to thank the President of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation, Araik Harutyunyan, for his trust.
I also thank all our coaches for their immense contribution to my achievements. I am confident that through our competent and united work, we will achieve even greater success!" wrote the former weightlifter on his social media.

Samvel had a very good but short athletic career, which ended due to a severe injury. We are confident that he will channel his passion in the right direction and will continue to contribute to the development of sports in the country.
