Ruben Nazaretyan: Armenia Futsal National Team’s Goal at EURO 2026 Is First Victory and Playoff Qualification

Armenia futsal national team head coach Ruben Nazaretyan has outlined the team’s objectives ahead of the 2026 UEFA European Futsal Championship. According to the specialist, the team aims to write a new chapter in the history of Armenian futsal.

— The goal of the Armenia national team at EURO 2026 is to achieve our first-ever victory at the European Championships and qualify for the playoffs, — Nazaretyan stated.

As part of their preparation for the continental tournament, Armenia will take part in the international Unibank Cup, which will be held in Yerevan from December 21 to 24. Armenia’s opponents will be the national teams of Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Georgia.

In addition, in January the national team will play two friendly matches against Lebanon — one with the senior squad and one with the youth team.
