Roman Berezovsky appointed head coach of Spartak Kostroma

Former Armenia national team goalkeeper and captain Roman Berezovsky has been appointed head coach of Spartak Kostroma. The 51-year-old will also continue working as the club’s goalkeeping coach.
Berezovsky joined the Russian club’s coaching staff in early June 2026, taking up the role of goalkeeping coach. He has now officially been placed in charge of the team.
However, senior coach Yevgeny Taranukhin will effectively oversee Spartak’s play. Berezovsky’s appointment as head coach is largely formal because Taranukhin does not have the required coaching licence.
Spartak Kostroma’s coaching staff consists of:
- Roman Berezovsky — head coach and goalkeeping coach;
- Yevgeny Taranukhin — senior coach;
- Kirill Romanov — football coach;
- Sergey Puchkov — defensive coach;
- Yevgeny Bondarenko — fitness coach;
- Kirill Zvyagin — fitness coach;
- Yuri Usachyov — running coach;
- Stepan Grigoryan — cycling coach;
- Yevgeny Vlasov — analyst.
Earlier, 19-year-old Armenia U21 midfielder David Kirakosyan also joined Spartak Kostroma.
