Argentina-based Ramiro Martin called up to Armenia futsal national team

The Armenia national futsal team will hold a training camp in Moldova, where it will play two friendly matches.

The camp will begin on September 7 and will form part of the national team’s preparations for the upcoming 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifying matches.

Armenia’s official squad for the training camp has not yet been announced, but it is known that a newcomer, Ramiro Martin, has received a call-up to the national team. He plays for Argentine club A. A. Primera Junta. The futsal player has Armenian roots through his mother. His call-up to the Armenia national team was announced by A. A. Primera Junta.

Another promising player of Armenian descent, Andranik Moroyan, also plays in Argentina. The 18-year-old futsal player represents local club Kimberley and has been called up to Argentina’s U-20 national team.

Last year, Moroyan won the U-17 Copa America with Argentina, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer. It is not yet known whether Andranik is considering the possibility of representing Armenia or intends to continue competing for a place in Argentina’s national teams.

In the World Cup qualifying tournament, Armenia will compete in Group 1, alongside Hungary and Sweden.

Armenia’s qualifying campaign will begin on October 20, 2026, with a home match against Hungary and will conclude on March 3, 2027, with an away game against the same opponent.
