Rafik Harutyunyan Wins Silver at the European Weightlifting Championships

At the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships, competing in the 81 kg category, Rafik Harutyunyan won a silver medal with a total of 343 kg (158 kg in the snatch and 185 kg in the clean & jerk). The Armenian athlete also earned a small silver in the snatch and placed fourth in the clean & jerk.
This is the fourth European Championship medal for the 24-year-old lifter from Armenia. In 2022, he became the European champion, and in 2023 and 2024, he won bronze. Now, in 2025, Harutyunyan has stepped onto the second tier of the podium.
The gold medal in the 81 kg category went to Italy’s Oscar Reyes, who posted the best total of 349 kg (159+190). This marks Reyes’ third consecutive European Championship title. The bronze medal went to Kristi Ramadani of Albania with 337 kg (151+186).
