The match of the 21st round of the Fastex Armenian Premier League between the teams "Gandzasar" and "Ararat" was interrupted due to a force majeure situation, according to the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA). The game did not take place because of disturbances organized by fans, which led to the stoppage of the match. At this time, there is no information about the new date for the game.

Statement from the FAF Fan Movement

Before the start of the game, the FAF fan movement held an action demanding the resignation of the president of the Football Federation of Armenia. In their statement, they claimed that since the beginning of their call for resignation, they have repeatedly pointed out the complete inefficiency of the current leadership and their inability to ensure the development of Armenian football. Activists stated that the president of the Federation and his team had clearly failed their 2025 strategy, lacking a clear vision for the future development, and were trying to solve issues with empty promises, such as choosing a coach for the national team.

The statement emphasized that the fan movements of the clubs and the Armenian national team would once again intensify their actions demanding the resignation of the president of the Federation. They also warned that if there is no response from the leadership, they would be prepared to take extreme measures, including canceling matches. However, the fans apologized to the clubs, players, and referees for any potential inconvenience, stressing that their actions were directed solely against the current state of football, and not against individuals.

Statement from the Football Federation of Armenia

For its part, the Football Federation of Armenia condemned the actions of the fans and emphasized that the disturbances that caused the interruption of the match were unacceptable. The Federation stated that in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict, they would refrain from imposing sanctions at the moment. However, in the event of a recurrence of such incidents, the FFA would be forced to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure the normal course of the matches.

The Federation also called on the fans to refrain from such actions, as they harm Armenian football as a whole.
