The Government of Armenia has allocated nearly 144 million drams for participation in international tournaments at the end of 2025

At its latest session, the Government of Armenia decided to allocate an additional 143,979,800 drams to support the development of national sports. The funds will be used to ensure the full participation of national teams in international competitions, as well as to reward athletes and coaches who have achieved high results. The financing will come from the reallocation of funds within the 2025 state budget of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
According to the decision, three sports federations will receive an additional 44,801,700 drams for preparation and participation in international championships:

Armenian Wrestling Federation — 26.8 million drams for the participation of the U23 national team in the World Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia (already completed).

Armenian Basketball Federation — 12.7 million drams for the participation of the national team in the EuroBasket 2029 qualification round (matches on November 27 and 30).

Armenian Volleyball Federation — 5.2 million drams for the participation of the U18 women’s national team in the European Championship in Telavi, Georgia (November 19–24).
In addition, 99,178,000 drams will be allocated for the payment of personal scholarships to athletes and their coaches who have achieved outstanding results at the Olympic Games, World, and European Championships. The payments will be made in accordance with Government Decision No. 1096-N of July 2, 2020.
