On October 27, the 2025 U23 World Championships in freestyle wrestling concluded in Novi Sad, Serbia. On the final day, gold medal bouts were held in the 61 kg, 65 kg, 86 kg, and 97 kg weight categories.
World champions on the closing day came from the USA, India, Russia, and Japan.
In the overall team standings, the United States claimed first place with 4 gold and 1 silver medal. Iran finished second with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals, while Japan took third place, earning 2 gold and 2 bronze.
For Russia, the only gold medal was won by Arsen Balayan (86 kg), an ethnic Armenian wrestler. The Russian team also earned 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Azerbaijan secured one gold medal as well.
Team Armenia finished in 12th place overall and did not win any medals.
