The Armenian government has declared the Kapan City Stadium a project of priority public interest, paving the way for the construction of a modern multi-purpose sports complex funded by the state.
The project will be implemented with government financing and will feature sports infrastructure built to modern standards.
The complex is designed to serve not only football but also athletics. It will include running tracks, jumping facilities, and other training areas necessary for the development of track and field sports.
Special attention will be given to the football infrastructure. The renovated stadium is expected to meet UEFA standards, allowing it to host international matches and other high-level sporting events.
The project is expected to become a major boost for sports infrastructure in Armenia's Syunik Province, creating new opportunities for athlete development as well as the organization of national and international competitions.
