Full overview of the Armenia U20 basketball team roster for the home EURO 2025

The Armenia U20 national basketball team is ready for the home EuroBasket 2025 (Division B), which will take place in Yerevan from July 11 to 20. The team includes players from Armenian clubs as well as talents from the USA, Russia, Poland, Canada, and Kazakhstan. The squad features both experienced participants from previous tournaments and debutants, including one naturalized player.

After finishing 19th in 2024 with only two wins (against Moldova and Azerbaijan), the minimum goal for the home tournament is to finish in the top 10. With strong performances from the leaders, the team could even fight for a playoff spot.
Under the guidance of head coach Peter Christopher Dominguez, Armenia competes in Group B alongside Latvia, Montenegro, Estonia, and Ireland.

Tigran Mkrtumyan (19, guard, 191 cm, BKMA – Armenia)
Member of the senior national team. Played in two FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers, averaging 2 PPG. At Euro U20 B (2024), averaged 10 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3 APG. -
Valeri Aghajanyan (19, SF, 197 cm, GAK Gdynia – Poland)
Debuts for Armenia. Played 23 games in Polish 2nd division, averaging 2.3 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 0.7 APG. -
Amari Demetrius Mccall (18, guard, 167 cm, Thomas Jefferson HS – USA)
Naturalized player without Armenian roots. Competes in U.S. high school league. A very promising guard. -
Gregory Gazarian (18, guard, 183 cm, Cal State Northridge – USA)
Plays college basketball in California. Previously represented Armenia U16 and U18. Averaged 15.7 PPG at Euro U18 C (2024), and 20.8 PPG at Euro U16 (2022), earning All-Tournament honors. -
Daniel Kirakosyan (20, guard, 180 cm, Lamar CC – USA)
Represented Armenia’s senior team in WC qualifiers vs Albania and Austria. Started career in Russia, moved to the U.S. in 2022. -
Hayk Karakhanyan (18, SF, BKMA – Armenia)
Averaged 2.4 PPG at Euro U20 B (2024), and 15 PPG at U18 tournament. -
Leo Dermegerdichian (19, guard, BKMA – Armenia)
Born in Iran, previously played for Ararat Tehran. Joined Armenian league in 2024. -
Marat Mikaelyan (19, guard, 180 cm, BKMA – Armenia)
Called up to senior national team. Averaged 5 PPG and 3.7 RPG at Euro U20 B (2024). -
Sebastian Hatsakorzian (17, SF, 195 cm, St. Mary’s – USA)
Played for Armenia U16 and U18. Starred at Euro U18 C (2024) with 16.3 PPG, 10.3 RPG. Named to the All-Tournament Team. -
Deniel Sanamian (17, C, 203 cm, CSKA-DYUBL – Russia)
Debuts for Armenia. Started in Spartak (Abinsk), now plays for CSKA Moscow youth. Averaged 5.4 PPG and 2.1 RPG in junior league. -
Xavier Kilislian (17, PF, 201 cm, Edge School Prep – Canada)
First call-up in 2025. Played in senior friendlies vs Costa Rica in the U.S., scoring 10 points in one of the wins. -
Yura Melikyan (19, C, 200 cm, Barsy – Kazakhstan)
The most experienced player. Transferred from BKMA to Barsy Atyrau in early 2025. Starred in EYBL U20.
Played for Armenia senior team since 2024. At Euro U20 B (2024): 16 PPG (6th), 17 RPG (1st), 2.3 BPG (1st). Named MVP in two EYBL games.
