Hovhannes Bachkov Knocks Out Ndongeni and Wins Two Championship Belts (VIDEO)

Undefeated Armenian boxer Hovhannes Bachkov (8-0, 7 KOs) continues his confident rise in the professional ring. On July 2 in Istanbul, at the IBA Pro 7 boxing event, he delivered a spectacular knockout against experienced South African Xolisani Ndongeni (33-7) in the ninth round, capturing the IBA International title in the super lightweight division. In addition, Bachkov successfully defended his WBA Continental title.
The 32-year-old Armenian took control from the very first moments of the fight. Throughout all the rounds, he displayed high activity, accuracy, and a wide variety of punches, steadily building his advantage on the scorecards. However, the bout never made it to the judges.
In the ninth round, Bachkov turned up the pressure, cornered his opponent against the ropes, and landed several clean shots to Ndongeni’s head. The South African went down and showed no desire to continue. His team threw in the towel, confirming a technical knockout victory for the Armenian boxer.
Thus, Hovhannes Bachkov earned his eighth professional win and secured his second career championship belt.
