Champions League schedule published: Mkhitaryan to open against Real Madrid, Barseghyan against PSG

UEFA has published the full schedule for the league phase of the 2026/27 Champions League. The teams of the Armenian players are set for blockbuster fixtures as early as Matchday 1. Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Inter will face Real Madrid away on September 8, while Tigran Barseghyan’s Slovan will visit Pot 1 side PSG on September 9.

Notably, Inter and Slovan will conclude the league phase with a head-to-head meeting. The match will take place in Bratislava on January 27. This means Mkhitaryan and Barseghyan could face each other on the final matchday.

The opening round of the Champions League will be played over three days — September 8, 9 and 10. Matchday 2 will take place on October 13-14, Matchday 3 on October 20-21, Matchday 4 on November 3-4, Matchday 5 on November 24-25, Matchday 6 on December 8-9 and Matchday 7 on January 19-20. All matches in the final, eighth round will be played on January 27.
