All participants of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group stage have been confirmed

oday, August 28, UEFA officially finalized the list of clubs that will compete in the main stage of the 2025/26 Champions League. All 36 teams are confirmed, and in the evening the draw will take place, which, just like last season, will follow the tournament’s new format with a single league table.

Each team will play eight matches in the league phase — four at home and four away. The matches will kick off on September 16 and conclude on January 28.

The lineup includes European football giants as well as several sensational debutants. A total of 29 clubs qualified automatically, while seven more advanced through the playoffs.

Interestingly, the reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain secured participation through two criteria at once — as Ligue 1 champions and as Champions League title holders — which required an adjustment of quotas. Tottenham also earned a direct spot by winning the Europa League.
