Ahead of the final round of the Champions League, where Bratislava’s Slovan will face Bayern Munich, SofaScore presented the impressive statistics of Armenian footballer Tigran Barseghyan.
The Armenian ranks second in average rating among players outside Europe’s top-5 leagues, trailing only Sporting Lisbon’s Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres.
“This season has been unforgettable for Slovakia’s champion, Bratislava’s Slovan, and their main attacking player, Tigran Barseghyan.
Reaching the Champions League group stage at the very start of the season made the 2024/25 campaign bright and memorable even before it officially began. A few months later, Barseghyan is already considered the second-highest-rated player in Europe outside the top-5 leagues.
With as many goal involvements as games played in the Slovak league, it seems no one can stop the speedy right winger and his trademark Robben-esque runs cutting inside with his left foot,” writes SofaScore.
On Wednesday, Barseghyan will take the field against Bayern in the 8th round of the Champions League group stage.
