Official: Welton joins Ararat-Armenia

Brazilian midfielder Welton Nunes Carvalho Junior has become the fourth summer signing of Ararat-Armenia. The 26-year-old player joined the Yerevan-based club after spending two seasons with Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira, which competes in the second division of Portugal.

While at the Portuguese club, Welton played 62 matches, scored 3 goals, and provided 8 assists. He is capable of playing both as an attacking midfielder and as a winger on the flanks.

According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is estimated at €400,000.

Earlier in this transfer window, Ararat-Armenia had already strengthened the squad with three new players, two of whom also arrived from Portuguese second division clubs.
