The former captain of Armenia's U21 national team and Urartu forward, Gevorg Tarakhchyan, has joined Alashkert as a free agent.
The 22-year-old striker left Urartu in January of this year and was considering options to continue his career abroad. In particular, clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina showed interest in him, but negotiations did not result in a deal.
As a result, Tarakhchyan will continue his career at Alashkert, which currently sits in 10th place in the Armenian Premier League.
The player has one appearance for Armenia’s senior national team, as well as 17 matches and one goal for the U21 national team.
