Official: Davit Hakobyan joins Slovak club Podbrezová

19-year-old midfielder Davit Hakobyan from BKMA Yerevan will continue his career in the Slovak championship. According to the Yerevan club’s press service, the player has signed a full contract with the top division team Železiarne Podbrezová.

Last season, Hakobyan became one of BKMA’s key players, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. His impressive performance in the Armenian Premier League earned him a call-up to the Armenian national team.

Interestingly, his cousin Misak Hakobyan also left BKMA recently, joining the Albanian side Egnatia.

Podbrezová finished 6th in the Slovak Super Liga last season.
