New Appointments at Alashkert: Balyberdin Named CEO, Mkrtchyan Becomes Vice President

Football club Alashkert has announced two key appointments to its management team. Alexey Balyberdin has been named the club’s new CEO, while Tigran Mkrtchyan has taken on the role of vice president.

Alexey Balyberdin brings over a decade of experience in the football industry. He has worked with clubs, academies, and international consulting projects across Europe and Russia. At Alashkert, he will be responsible for the club’s strategic development and sustainable growth, leveraging his professional expertise and global football connections.

Balyberdin’s most recent position was with Bulgarian side Botev.

Tigran Mkrtchyan is a well-known football agent and scout who has worked in Armenia, Russia, Europe, and most actively — in Africa. He is also the founder of the football-educational project Vista in Russia, which has helped discover and develop dozens of young talents. His appointment reflects the club’s intention to strengthen its scouting system and youth development work.

Previously, Tigran Mkrtchyan worked with Armenian club Van.

Earlier, it was announced that Russian businessman Anton Zingarevich had become a co-owner of Alashkert. He transferred his management team from FC Van, which he previously co-owned, to the new club structure. Zingarevich is also known for his involvement with Bulgarian side Botev, which he has since left. Alashkert is now jointly owned by him and club founder Bagrat Navoyan.

Additionally, the club has changed its color scheme — from black and yellow to black and white.
