Noah claimed their first victory under new head coach Pablo Garcia. In the Matchday 4 clash, the Armenian runners-up edged BKMA 1-0.
The only goal of the game was scored by 19-year-old Zaven Khudaverdyan. The midfielder came on in the 60th minute, replacing Gor Manvelyan, and rewarded the coaching staff’s trust in the 73rd minute with a spectacular bicycle kick following a throw-in.
It was Khudaverdyan’s second goal for Noah’s first team.
Noah had a chance to double their advantage in the 81st minute, but Marko Lazetic failed to convert a penalty.
After four rounds, Noah have collected 12 points and sit alone at the top of the league table.
In the next round, Pablo Garcia’s side will face Ararat, who will be without the suspended Varazdat Haroyan. BKMA, meanwhile, will take on Gandzasar.
