Neymar to go to the 2026 World Cup as Ancelotti names Brazil squad

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced the national team’s final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Neymar has been included in the list and will once again have the chance to play at football’s biggest tournament.
The total market value of Brazil’s squad is estimated at €908 million. The most valuable player in the team is Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, whose market value stands at €150 million.
The average age of the Brazilian squad is 29.2 years. At the moment, it is one of the oldest squads among the tournament participants. The oldest player in the team is goalkeeper Weverton, who is 38 years old. The youngest players are Rayan and Endrick, both aged 19.
Ancelotti has named a star-studded attacking line. Alongside Neymar, the squad includes Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, Gabriel Martinelli, Matheus Cunha, Luiz Henrique, Igor Thiago, Rayan and Endrick.
At the same time, several well-known players have been left out of the squad. Richarlison, Igor Jesus, Joao Pedro, Antony, Andrey Santos and Carlos Augusto will not travel to the World Cup. Injured players Eder Militao, Estevao, Rodrygo and Joelinton will also miss the tournament.
Brazil’s players will join up with the national team on May 26. The team will then host Panama in a friendly on May 31 before departing for the United States on June 2. Another warm-up match is scheduled for June 6 against Egypt.
Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 14. In their second group-stage match, Ancelotti’s side will face Haiti on June 20, before completing the group stage against Scotland on June 25.
