Narek Vardanian – Silver Medalist at the European Junior Judo Championships

The 2025 European Junior Judo Championships are underway in Bratislava. In the -73 kg weight category, Narek Vardanian, representing Sweden, won the silver medal.
On his way to the final, Vardanian confidently defeated opponents from Italy, Israel, France, and Great Britain. In the decisive match, he faced Irakli Goginashvili (Great Britain) and lost, earning the silver medal.

Gor Safaryan (60 kg) defeated an athlete from Belgium, but then lost to future champion Nishad Mamishev from Azerbaijan.

Vage Aghasyan (60 kg) overcame an opponent from Spain but was defeated by a French judoka.

Jirair Hambaryan (66 kg) won against a Portuguese competitor but lost to a French athlete.

Leva Srapyan (66 kg) beat a Lithuanian opponent but could not advance past a Georgian judoka.

Gor Karapetyan (100 kg) will step onto the tatami on September 6, facing Lazar Zdrale from Serbia in his first match.
