Nare Shakaryan Secures Armenia's First Medal at European U15 Boxing Championships in Turkey

The Armenian national team has secured its first medal at the 2026 European U15 Boxing Championships, currently taking place in Trabzon, Turkey. Nare Shakaryan became the first Armenian boxer to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
On October 20, the Armenian athlete, competing in the 40 kg weight category, faced Greece's Aikaterini Kameridou in the quarterfinals.
Shakaryan claimed a convincing victory by a wide margin and advanced to the semifinals, guaranteeing herself at least a bronze medal at the European Championships.
The Armenian boxer will now fight for a place in the final and a chance to claim the European gold medal.
The European U15 Boxing Championships are being held in Trabzon and will conclude on October 26.
