On November 19, the 2025 European Junior Taekwondo Championships started in the city of Aigle (Switzerland). One of the notable results of the day was a bronze medal in the 44 kg weight category won by Alina Gevorgyan, representing Russia.
On the same day, David Muradyan (51 kg) and Melani Ayvazyan (44 kg) competed for the Armenian national team. Both athletes were defeated in their opening matches. Melani Ayvazyan lost to an athlete from Croatia, who eventually became the European champion.
Today, Stepa Yeremyan (63 kg), representing the Armenian team, claimed two victories — over opponents from Slovakia and Cyprus — and advanced to the quarterfinals, continuing the fight for medals.
Russian athletes (AIN) won three gold medals on the first day.
