European Youth Weightlifting Championship 2025: Results of the Second Day

On October 29, the second day of the 2025 European Youth Weightlifting Championship took place in Durrës, Albania, featuring athletes under 20 and under 23 years old. Four medal sets were contested on the second competition day — two in the U23 category and two in the U20 category.
The Armenian national team won two “big gold” medals, four small golds, and one small silver on the second day. Aleksandra Grigoryan, setting two new European records, became the champion in the women’s 58 kg category (U20), while Garnik Cholakyan triumphed in the men’s 60 kg category (U23). Another Armenian athlete, Seyran Khudanyan, earned a small silver in the snatch.
In addition to the Armenian athletes, gold medals were also won by representatives of Italy and Turkey. After two days of competition, Turkey leads with three “big golds,” while Italy and Armenia have two each, and Romania and Spain have one apiece.
