Italy U21 to bring star-studded squad to Yerevan
Football

On October 1, Armenia U21 will play their penultimate match of the 2027 European Championship qualifying campaign in Yerevan. Their opponents will be one of the group leaders, Italy, who are set to arrive in Armenia with a very strong squad.

The Italian Football Federation has announced Silvio Baldini’s squad for the October qualifiers. The list includes several players who are already receiving significant playing time at a high level and are regarded as some of the most promising footballers of their generation.

Particular attention is drawn to the AC Milan trio of Davide Bartesaghi, Alphadjo Cissé and Francesco Camarda. Camarda has been considered one of the biggest talents in Italian football for several years.

In midfield, Roma’s Nicolò Pisilli, whose market value is estimated at around €30 million, stands out alongside Fiorentina’s Cher Ndour and Como’s Mattia Liberali.

The defensive line also looks very strong. The squad includes Pietro Comuzzo, Niccolò Fortini, Davide Bartesaghi, Fabio Chiarodia of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Luca Reggiani of Borussia Dortmund.

As a result, one of Europe’s most talented youth national teams will arrive in Yerevan as Italy continue their battle for direct qualification for Euro 2027.
