Mnatsakan Abrahamyan wins silver at the U23 European Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Mnatsakan Abrahamyan (up to 94 kg category) won a silver medal at the 2025 U23 European Championships held in Durres, Albania.
Abrahamyan delivered a confident performance, successfully completing all six of his attempts and battling until the end for gold against Ukraine’s Maksym Dombrovskyi. In the final standings, the Armenian athlete fell just two kilograms short of first place.
As a result, Abrahamyan claimed small bronze in the snatch, small gold in the clean and jerk, and overall silver in the total.

- Maksym Dombrovskyi (Ukraine) — 363 kg (162+201)
- Mnatsakan Abrahamyan (Armenia) — 361 kg (160+201)
- Saba Asanidze (Georgia) — 353 kg (156+197)
The Armenian team continues its strong performance at the continental championship, having already secured 5 big gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
