Mikhail Grigoryan wins IBA Asia title by defeating Jeo Santisima
22-year-old Armenian boxer Mikhail Grigoryan (9-0), representing Krasnodar, secured a convincing victory over experienced Filipino fighter Jeo Santisima (26-10) to claim the IBA Asia lightweight championship belt.
The bout took place at the IBA Pro 16 tournament in Serpukhov and lasted the full 10 scheduled rounds. From the opening minutes, Grigoryan took control of the fight and maintained dominance throughout, showcasing superior speed, technique, and tactical awareness.
During the contest, the Armenian boxer sent Santisima to the canvas several times, confirming his dominance in the ring. After the final bell, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Grigoryan, allowing him to preserve his undefeated record and capture the first major title of his professional career.
