Former Armenia national team captain and Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been honored with the prestigious Gentleman Inter award at the Gentleman Award ceremony, the Nerazzurri’s official website reports.
The gala event, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the award, was held at the historic Teulié Military School in Milan and celebrated outstanding representatives of football for their loyalty to the principles of fair play and professionalism.
Mkhitaryan, upon receiving the award on stage, emphasized that the recognition was a great honor for him:
"I am very happy and grateful to everyone who voted for me. This is an award that may reflect my character, but let others judge. For me, the most important thing is to be myself," noted the midfielder.

Alongside Mkhitaryan, awards were presented to Inter’s president and CEO Giuseppe Marotta, vice president Javier Zanetti, as well as players Lautaro Martínez, Carlos Augusto, and Nicolò Barella.
Marotta was distinguished with the special "Gentleman dirigente" prize, established in honor of the anniversary, and in his speech highlighted that the values of honesty and passion in football are equally important for both players and leaders.
Thus, Inter became one of the main winners of the evening, collecting a series of awards, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan once again confirmed his status as one of the most respected footballers both on and off the pitch.
