Brazilian forward Matheus Aias has left Yerevan-based Noah following the expiration of his contract.
The 29-year-old striker spent two impressive seasons at the Armenian club and became one of the team’s most notable players. Aias regularly scored important goals both in the Armenian Premier League and in European competitions, playing a significant role in Noah’s recent success.
Over two seasons with the Yerevan club, the Brazilian forward scored 32 goals in all competitions. Aias leaves Noah as the club’s all-time top scorer.
Earlier, another forward, Nardin Mulahusejnović, also left the team and will continue his career at Serbian side Vojvodina.
Noah enjoyed a successful season, finishing second in the Armenian championship and winning the Armenian Cup under head coach Sandro Perković. Next season, the Yerevan club will compete in the UEFA Conference League.
After the departure of two forwards, Noah’s attacking line is set for major changes. The club is expected to be active in the transfer market and make several high-profile signings ahead of the new season.
