Georgian Fans Already Have Tickets, While Armenians Are Still Waiting

Georgian Fans Already Have Tickets, While Armenians Are Still Waiting
Football

There are 10 days left until Armenia’s crucial match against Georgia, which will take place on March 20 in Yerevan. Today, it became known that all tickets for the away section in Georgia have already been sold out. This has raised concerns among Armenian fans, as they still cannot purchase tickets for the match.

Away Section Tickets Sold Out
Despite the lack of information about the ticket sales in Armenia, Georgian fans have already bought all available tickets for the away sector. This means that a significant number of Georgian supporters will be present in the stands, actively cheering for their team. Meanwhile, Armenian fans, including the FAF Ultras group, are still left without tickets.

FAF Ultras noted that they were not provided with tickets, unlike previous occasions. This raises the risk that the Armenian national team might not receive the necessary support in the stands. If tickets are released at the last moment, it could create a rush and make it difficult for fans to secure their spots.

The Delay in Ticket Sales in Armenia

Earlier, we reported that there would be spectator limitations at the Armenia vs. Georgia match due to UEFA sanctions. Following the Nations League match against the Faroe Islands (0:1) on November 14, 2024, the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) was penalized with:

  • A €20,000 fine and a partial stadium closure (500 seats);
  • A €17,500 fine for displaying prohibited banners;
  • A 2-year probation period for the FFA.

These sanctions may be one of the reasons for the delay in ticket sales in Armenia. However, the absence of official statements from the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) raises concerns among fans.

What’s Next?

At the moment, there are several possible developments:

  • Ticket Sales Announcement – The FFA may start selling tickets in the coming days, but fans worry that it will happen at the last minute.
  • Limited Seats for Armenian Fans – Given the rapid sell-out of the away sector, Armenian fans will need to act fast once tickets become available.
  • Risk of Weak Support – If ticket sales are delayed, organized Georgian fans may create an atmosphere where their support dominates.

The situation remains uncertain. Armenian national team fans are waiting for official statements from the FFA, as the match is quickly approaching. Sportaran.com will continue to monitor the developments.
