The friendly match between the national teams of Armenia and Kazakhstan will be officiated by a refereeing team from Cyprus.
According to the Football Federation of Armenia, Kyriakos Athanasiou has been appointed as the main referee for the match. He will be assisted by Marios Kalogirou and Kyriakos Socratous, while Yura Makhtesyan will serve as the fourth official.
This will not be Kyriakos Athanasiou’s first experience working in matches involving Armenian teams. The Cypriot referee has previously officiated a match involving Yerevan’s Pyunik, as well as one match each featuring Armenia’s U21 and U17 national teams.
The Armenia vs Kazakhstan match will take place on June 6 at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 local time.
Armenia’s national team is currently holding its June training camp in Yerevan and is preparing for two friendly matches. After facing Kazakhstan, the team will also play against Moldova.
