Armenian fighter Martun Mezhlumyan (15-3) will fight for the vacant UAE Warriors lightweight championship title.
Mezhlumyan’s opponent will be undefeated Ukrainian fighter Vladyslav Rudniev. The Armenian fighter has 15 wins and 3 losses, while Rudniev enters the bout with a perfect record of 12-0.
For Mezhlumyan, this will be his second attempt to capture the Emirati promotion’s belt. In 2023, he was already scheduled to compete in a title fight against Bruno Azevedo, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The bout between Mezhlumyan and Rudniev will headline UAE Warriors 71, which will take place on May 9 in Abu Dhabi.
Another Armenian fighter, Sergo Aleksanyan, will also compete at the event. He will face Cameroon’s Jaures Dea. Aleksanyan holds a 5-1 record, while his opponent’s record stands at 12-7.
