Martun Mezhlumyan Scores Spectacular Victory at UAE Warriors 60 (VIDEO)

Armenian mixed martial artist Martun Mezhlumyan (14–3) claimed an impressive win at UAE Warriors 60, held in Abu Dhabi. He submitted Brazilian fighter Italo Gomes (13–6) with a choke in the third round.
The fight wasn’t easy for Mezhlumyan. Gomes, with a strong Brazilian jiu-jitsu background, repeatedly took the Armenian down. However, Martun showed endurance and composure, waiting for the right moment. Early in the third round, he took control and ended the bout with a choke.
The bout was held at a catchweight of 75 kg, as both fighters accepted the fight on short notice.
This fight marked Mezhlumyan’s return after nearly a three-year hiatus. The victory in Abu Dhabi was his fifth win in the UAE Warriors league, making him one of the top contenders for the title.
Right after the win, Martun called out the current lightweight champion of the promotion — Abroo Magomedov from Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team.
