Veteran Austrian striker Marko Arnautović will continue his career at Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, where Armenian defender Nair Tiknizyan currently plays. The news was reported by the reputable Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport.
The 36-year-old former Inter forward left the Milan club as a free agent and is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Serbian champions soon. The deal is likely to be finalized in the coming days.
Arnautović spent two seasons at Inter, where he played alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Now, he will join another Armenian footballer, Nair Tiknizyan, who joined Red Star this summer.
For Red Star, signing Arnautović strengthens their attacking line ahead of the new season, including possible participation in European competitions.
The Serbian SuperLiga campaign kicks off for Red Star today, July 19, with a match against Javor, followed by a Champions League qualifier on July 22 against Lincoln from Gibraltar.
