Renowned Austrian forward Marko Arnautović has officially signed a contract with Serbian club Crvena Zvezda, the club’s press service announced. The 36-year-old striker joined as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Inter Milan.
Thus, Arnautović becomes a teammate of Armenian national team defender Nair Tiknizyan. Previously, he played alongside another Armenian — Henrikh Mkhitaryan — at Inter. No team is complete without Armenians.
Last season, Arnautović played 28 matches for the Nerazzurri across all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists.
Throughout his rich career, the experienced striker has played for numerous clubs, including Bologna, West Ham, Stoke City, Werder Bremen, Twente, and the Austrian national team, where he was a key player for many years.
This move to Crvena Zvezda may become the final chapter in the career of one of the most charismatic strikers of the past decade.
