25-year-old Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Malkhas Amoyan (Yezidi by nationality) had a brilliant 2025 season, finishing it with an impeccable winning streak.
Back in 2024 at the Paris Olympic Games, Amoyan won a bronze medal, losing only to the future champion, Nao Kusaka of Japan. That defeat remains the last one of his career so far: since the Olympics, he has remained undefeated.
Bundesliga 2024/25
At the end of 2024, Amoyan began competing for the club Germania Vikings / KSC Hösbach in the German Bundesliga, where he had ten bouts and won them all. Among his victims were prominent opponents, including Asian champion and his rival from the Olympic bronze medal match, Aram Vardanyan (Uzbekistan), as well as U23 world champion Alexandrin Gutiu (twice).
