Latvia lose another midfielder ahead of Armenia match

Latvia will face Armenia without Kristaps Grabovskis. According to Latvia’s TV3, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who plays for Georgian club Dila, did not travel with the team to Yerevan because of an injury.

Grabovskis has made four appearances for Latvia. He played the full 90 minutes in each of his last two international matches.

This is Latvia’s second attacking midfield absence ahead of the trip to Armenia. It was previously confirmed that 31-year-old Jānis Ikaunieks will also miss the match through injury. Sportaran reported his absence earlier.

The Armenia–Latvia Nations League opener will take place on September 25 at Republican Stadium in Yerevan. Kickoff is at 20:00.
