18-year-old Spanish national team winger Lamine Yamal found himself in an unusual situation after the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Turkey.
According to Beyaz Futbol, the player searched for his passport for a long time, even returning to the locker room, but was unable to find it. The video of the moment quickly went viral on social media. The entire team waited for more than an hour while the Barcelona star tried to locate the document, but eventually the bus departed with Yamal—without his passport. It is still unclear how the Spaniard will be able to leave Turkey without the document.
Despite the incident, the match itself was a real celebration for Spain. In Konya, Luis de la Fuente’s side crushed the hosts 6–0. Mikel Merino scored a hat-trick, Pedri added a brace, and Ferran Torres netted another goal.
Lamine Yamal also made a big contribution to the victory, providing two assists.
