Boxing World Cup 2026: Results of Day Two for Team Armenia

The first stage of the 2026 Boxing World Cup continues in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. On the second day of competition, members of the Armenian national team entered the ring, delivering mixed results.
Results of Armenian Boxers (Night of April 21–22)
51 kg (Round of 32)
Anush Grigoryan confidently defeated Tunisia’s Nour El Houda Chamroukh — TKO in Round 1.
65 kg (Round of 32)
Elida Kocharyan lost to Croatia’s Sara Beram — 0:5.
55 kg (Round of 32)
Zhirayr Sargsyan claimed victory over Kazakhstan’s Baglan Kenzhibek — 3:2.
+90 kg (Round of 16)
David Chaloyan defeated Brazil’s Joel Ramos — 4:1.
65 kg (Round of 32)
Artur Sahakyan lost to Poland’s Bartłomiej Roskowicz — 1:4.
It should be recalled that on the opening day of the tournament, all three Armenian boxers — Artur Bazeyan, Ararat Harutyunyan and Narek Manasyan — secured victories, giving the team a strong start.
Despite logistical challenges prior to the tournament, the Armenian national team made a достойный debut at its first-ever World Cup under the auspices of World Boxing and continues its pursuit of top results.
On the night of April 22–23, the following Armenian athletes will compete: Ararat Harutyunyan (70 kg) against a boxer from the Dominican Republic, Artur Bazeyan (60 kg) against Paris 2024 Olympic Games medalist Munarbek Seitbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan), and Rudolf Garboyan (50 kg) against an Italian opponent.
