Former Inter defender Cristian Chivu will become the new head coach of the Milan-based club. This was reported by reputable insider Fabrizio Romano.
According to the source, Chivu has already agreed to sign a contract until June 2027, with a salary of around 2 million euros per year. Negotiations are complete, the deal is signed — here we go!
Chivu is leaving Parma to return to Inter, this time as head coach. The appointment became relevant after Inter failed to reach an agreement with another candidate — Cesc Fàbregas. Talks with the Spaniard ended without result earlier the same day.
For Chivu, this is a return to his home club, where he spent a significant part of his playing career and has already worked with the youth team.
